FEES

Fees are either on a Fixed Fee Basis or an Hourly Rate Charge depending on the support required.

All fees must be paid, in advance of work/support required, via direct bank transfer. Once I receive your payment I am committed to the key dates and will reserve them on my calendar for you.

TRAVEL

Travel is charged at £25 per hour plus mileage or rail fare. However, during the current Covid Lockdown all work, support and Family Court Hearings are, with one or two exceptions, dealt with via telephone, video conference and email. It is unlikely that travel costs may never be incurred.

CANCELLATION OF APPOINTMENTS AND HEARINGS

To avoid cancellation charges please provide notice of at least 5 working days of your intention to cancel or alter the date or time of your appointment. In the event of the Court altering dates/times of Hearings I will do my best to accommodate the new dates but may be forced to charge a percentage of the cost dependent on the amount of time you have reserved and the amount of notice by the Court.

Cancellation of appointments with myself which are notified at less than 5 working days  prior to the reserved date are likely to be charged in full dependent on circumstances of cancellation or requested changes.

In the event that I become unavailable at short notice due to sickness or emergency, I will offer you the services of another trained McKenzie Friend at no extra cost to yourself.

APPOINTMENTS

I work using an appointment system so that once you have paid the agreed invoice for all or part of the work discussed you will have secured my full commitment and the appointment time will be yours.

Without advance payment the appointment may remain open to others.

VAT and CHARGES

At present A Voice for All is not registered for VAT purposes. You will be notified if/when I become liable for VAT.

Charging rates are reviewed periodically and the right to increase them is reserved on giving not less than one month’s prior notice. Fixed Fee Packages while not be subject to increase whilst work is ongoing.

DATA PROTECTION

All information shared by you will be treated in the strictest confidence and will be deleted from computer storage one year after our work together finishes. Original or copies of documents provided by yourself will be returned to you directly or shredded one year after our work together finishes.

I may use learning from your case to further enhance the quality of my work and website whilst ensuring that all identifying features are omitted.
